Ashes 2015: Story Till Now…!

England leading the 2015 Ashes series 2-1, while Australia planning to make a come back in the fourth Test.


Nottingham: The hosts lead 2-1 in the five-match test series heading into a fourth Test at Trent Bridge, which gets underway on Thursday.

Here's a brief look at the Ashes 2015 story so far:


1st Test, Cardiff
July 08-11
England won by 169 runs

Joe Root’s valuable 60 runs in the second innings as the Three Lions leave Aussies with a stiff chase of 412 for victory, which was far beyond the tourists as England win with more than a day to spare.

2nd Test, Lord's 
July 16-19
Australia won by 405 runs

The second test sees Australia complete dominant, with Steven Smith (215) and Chris Rogers (173) both put their Test-best scores in a major first-innings total of 566.

England dismissed for 312 in reply, then the tourists set a mammoth 509 for victory, England were bowled out for just 103 in 37 overs.

3rd Test, Edgbaston 
July 29-31
England won by 8 wickets

Australian captain Michael Clarke won the toss and opts to bat first on a seaming pitch in overcast conditions and sees his side bowled out for 136.
