Australian captain Michael Clarke future in doubt?

Australia skipper Michael Clarke, who was forced from the pitch with a hamstring injury on the fifth and final day of the first Test against India at Adelaide.

The 33-year-old picked up the injury while attempting to field a shot from Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the 44th over.

The captain immediately left the ground to undergo scans on his right leg at a nearby hospital.

Later - The left handed batsman has admitted that he might never play cricket again after sustaining a hamstring injury.

"I had a scan and the results are not fantastic. I'm going to struggle to make any more part in the series," BBC Sport quotes Clarke as saying.

"There's a chance I may never play again. I've got to be honest with myself."

Clarke ruled himself out of the remainder of the Test series following the dramatic a 48-run victory on Saturday afternoon.

Shaun Marsh, 31, who plays for the Western Warriors in Australian domestic cricket - will replace Clarke for the Brisbane Test, starts this Wednesday.
